Special Trailer Mechanic – Repair & Service

Key Responsibilities

Repair Mechanic tasks

• Inspect vehicles using inspection reports and functional tests.
• Perform maintenance and overhaul work according to customer requirements.
• Replace fluids, worn components, and damaged parts.
• Repair vehicles with structural deviations or damage, including modifying or repositioning components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues under supervision when needed.
• Complete administrative work orders and process returned parts.
• Identify additional work and contribute to product or process improvements.

Service Mechanic tasks
(Includes all repair tasks listed above, plus:)

• Act as an ambassador at customer locations, on the road, and in the workshop.
• Resolve disruptions directly on customer locations.
• Participate in first in line breakdown service.
• Discuss completed work with customers.
• Take initiative in product and process improvements and implement them.
• Train and coach colleagues and external mechanics.

Candidate Profile

• English or Dutch at B1 level.
• Knowledge of or affinity with hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanics.
• Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Independent, solution oriented, accurate, and responsible work attitude.
• Customer friendly and communicative, especially important for the service role.
• Driving licence B (BE is an advantage).
• Willingness to participate in breakdown services (service mechanic function).

Additional Information

• Contract type: Temporary with intention for permanent employment.
• Gross hourly wage: €18–€21
• Workhours: Dayshifts Mon–Fri (overtime possible)
• Transport: Own car or (E )Bike / Car from N2 People
• Workplace: Large, modern workshop with full facilities or on site
• Work clothes: Shoes and clothes can be provided by N2 People (for a fee)
• Workload: Average
