The story of Sylwia

Introduction

It all began when I made a post on a Polish platform saying I was looking for a job. I started with N2 People as a flex worker. Initially, I worked for 3 days at a fish company, which I didn’t really enjoy since I’m a vegetarian, and working in that environment didn’t feel right to me. I communicated this to my coordinator, who quickly found me another job as an order picker at Jan Linders. The manager at Jan Linders told my coordinator that I probably wouldn’t meet my targets because I’m short and slim, but my coordinator let me start anyway. After one month, I was at the top of the productivity list, so I feel like I really proved my worth during that time. I worked for over a year as an order picker while also taking on any other tasks that came up. I trained new employees and often acted as a translator. After more than a year as an order picker, I was promoted to team leader. I was always responsible for the afternoon shift, where I guided a fairly large team of employees. During this time, I learned a variety of things, from managing a team to learning how to operate a ride-on floor scrubber.

Promotion

After a year as team leader, I was offered a promotion to coordinator. My very first client was, of course, Jan Linders. There were 60 people working for Jan Linders from N2 People. In addition to Jan Linders, I gained more clients. At my peak, I was coordinating over 130 employees across 5 different companies. Although the coordinator role suited me well, after 2 years in this position, I wanted to make a change.

A new function

With the rapid growth of the company, new opportunities emerged. A new role was proposed for our office, specifically the position of back office employee. I wanted to give it a try and applied for this position. It’s been two years since I started working in this role, and I’ve learned a lot since then. I want to continue developing myself.

N2 People

What I love about N2 People is that I can just be myself. It’s a great job in a pleasant atmosphere. I really feel at home when I’m at the office. It almost feels like being with family. I’m very fond of N2 People.

The future

Personally, I would like to grow and evolve within my role, learning everything there is to know about employee administration. My goal is to improve my skills with the different systems that N2 People uses. I want to support my colleagues and achieve the small goals every day that lead to the bigger ones.
