Description
As a shunter driver, you make sure that trucks and trailers are in the right place at the right time. You work on site and are responsible for shunting vehicles around the premises, at the docks, and in the parking area. You also transport shuttle trailers to nearby clients and keep refrigerated trailers at the correct temperature by refilling them when needed. Your average workday starts at 10:00 PM. You receive the schedule, coordinate with colleagues, drivers, and team leaders, and begin shunting trailers. You regularly communicate with the warehouse control room and check that all vehicles are ready on time for departure. You work closely with your team and are flexible to step in where needed. Requirements
- CE driving license
- Valid Code 95 certificate (also from your home country)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as a shunter or CE driver
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Willingness to work night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) and occasional overtime
- Proactive and flexible attitude
- Team player with a sense of responsibility
- Own transportation is a plus
Our offer
- Temporary contract with the possibility of a permanent contract
- Full-time work week of 40-50 hours
- Gross hourly wage between €17.99 and €19.46 depending on experience
- Approximately €700 – 900 net per week
- Temporary use of a car or permanent use of an (e-)bike
