Description

In this versatile role as Waste Truck Driver / Loader, you’ll spend about half your time behind the wheel and the other half working as a loader. Together with your colleagues, you’re responsible for the efficient and safe collection of waste in the Bergen / Gennep region. How much you drive or load depends on how busy it is. During quiet periods, you might spend several weeks working mainly as a loader, while during peak times you’ll be driving more often. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to make each workday enjoyable.

A typical day starts with your crew, dividing up the tasks before heading out. Some days you’re driving the set routes, other days you’re on foot handling the loading duties to ensure fast and safe waste pick-up. You’ll interact with residents and businesses, always maintaining a friendly and customer-focused attitude. Safety and teamwork are top priorities. The work environment is informal, with room for a chat and strong collegial support.

Requirements

• Valid category C driver’s license
• Current Code 95 certification
• English speaking
• Preferably VCA certificate or willing to obtain one
• Flexible and team-oriented mindset
• Good physical condition
• Friendly and reliable
• Willing to alternate between driving and loading duties
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in the waste sector is a plus

Our offer

• Salary in scale D6: €18.71 to €20.24 per hour (depending on experience)
• Net weekly pay of €750 – €950
• Full-time position (40-60 hours per week)
