Introduction
My name is Serafin, I’m almost 37 years old. I’m from Murcia, in Spain. A bit more about me, I’m a very active and sporty person. Every week I will do something like mountain biking, climbing or hiking. I’m also a family oriented person, I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. Most of them live in Murcia so for me working here is perfect. I also like to live healthy, go outside, get a lot of exercise and eat healthy.
My journey
I decided to go to the Netherlands after the company I worked for in Spain went bankrupt. I started looking online for jobs and noticed a vacancy that read N2 People was looking for car painters and panel beaters in the Netherlands. To me this seemed like the perfect opportunity so I applied right away and got the job. Coming to the Netherlands was a whole new experience for me. I didn’t really speak any English or Dutch yet, just the colors and the numbers were part of my vocabulary, besides that I still had a lot to learn. After a couple of weeks in the Netherlands I bought my own car and became much more flexible in the choices that I had, having the accommodation from N2People also really helped out in not having to search for a house and cutting costs.
History with N2 People
I’ve been working for N2 People for quite a while now. I started in 2015 at the client van Mossel as a panel beater. After this I became a Coordinator(Jobcoach) for the Automotive Branche. After two years Eric, the CEO of N2 People, proposed to me to open an office in Spain and become a recruiter. Hearing this was like music to my ears, I like the job, I enjoy working for N2 People and I get to be close to my family and friends in Murcia. Eric saw the potential as a recruiter in me and provided me with the opportunity, for which I’m very grateful. I started with just a laptop and a phone, working from home. Once I managed to get more than 20 employees in N2 People we decided to open an office in Murcia. Working from home every day can become a bit of a strain, having an office here was the perfect solution for me.
Growth
Right now we’re here in the Spanish recruitment office with the 3 of us, Gosia, Lahìsa and myself. Also when we acquire new recruiters, no matter which country they will start working in, they will come to Murcia first to receive a 4-week training.
My experience
Working with different cultures is something that really appeals to me, besides that I really enjoy to help others, this job allows me to combine both of them. All-in-all I have a very good experience with N2 People.
